On this page I am showcasing some of my acting work. Please read a brief description bellow each video player. On my journey of becoming an actor, I was influenced by many artistic collaborators and greatly supported by my acting teachers and mentors. It all started with NY clown academy where I learned about the craft of clowning and later became a teacher of clowning. I studied the art of physical comedy and mime from an internationally renown mime performer Greg Goldstein and even from a great teacher Marcel Marceau. I discovered my acting soul and developed my method in my studies, with Madame Katherine Sergava, at HB Studio in NYC.
When this movie was filmed in the late nineties in NYC, I was fresh off the boat and still very much traumatized by the dynamics of civil war in my old country. In this movie, I played a Yugoslav war criminal hiding in the labyrinthine immigrant underground world in NYC and making a living by doing brutal racketeering. This feature film”Burn” won the Telluride Indiefest Best Film Award.
The film “Pilgrims” played in various international festivals and won awards. The movie was filmed in NYC and it tells the story of two complete strangers crossing paths in NYC. It’s a story about loneliness in a big city obsessed with hustle and bustle.
This video was from a cable show broadcasted on a local TV station in Staten Island. This was the time when I was making a living being a clown, magician and mime in NYC. My role was strictly physical and I didn’t even say a word on this show. How convenient, considering that I still had a heavy Eastern European accent.
In my directorial debut back in 2005, I also played the character of a comical rogue marijuana-doctor. The movie “Tall Hats” was screened at the first major online film festival called the Amazon/Tribeca film festival in 2005.
I played a character of a comical zombie in “The Magic Ball,” filmed in San Diego in 2006.
